THE LAST BLOG

This year the most difficult essay was the argumentation. Ever since the day it was taught to us, I've only struggled and barely managed to complete the essays. I just find it difficult to choose a side and stick with it without supporting the opposing side.
The easiest essay on the other hand has to be the rhetorical essay. After teaching us the steps to analyze the passages, writing the easy became a breeze. Everything about the rhetorical essay was just plain and simple. I was able to write it in very little time and still know that it would still be a quality essay.
My favorite novel this year will have to be In Cold Blood. The novel itself was just great but what made me like it even more was the movie. It was just a fantastic piece of literature and i really enjoyed reading it this year.
My least favorite novel is The Things They Carried. Though i enjoyed this book, it will just have to be my least favorite.
Thank you this year for being an amazing teacher that was always there for us. I could not thank you enough for the times where you made the classes interesting although it was early in the morning and all we wanted was to sleep.

Whats the first thing you think of when you hear the word "hero"? Usually people think superman. spiderman, or The Avengers. Usually people would think of heros as the guys that always help people and always does the right thing. Ichabod crane was completely the opposite. He was a self-centered and greedy man that used his students and chased after women for money.

When i think of ichabod i think of Dom Toretto. Both of them wanted money and they put themselves before other people like a hero should. Dom Toretto only cared about his family and his closest friends. He broke many laws and and was a world class criminal.

Dom Toretto often stole things and worked undercover with many drug dealers/ bad guys. He only did things that would eventually satisfy his wants and not care about other people. He killed many people and caused a lot of trouble for the police at times usually resulting them in a car accident.
The story "Young Goodman Brown" is a great piece of American literature.Whats interesting to me is how we all are so interested in stories like this. Knowing that Satan and demons are bad, yet we all are just still interested in the stories where we meet up with them instead of staying away from them. For example like the paranormal activity series, its terrifying, and presents us with a story about demons taking over humans and killing them eventually and yet we all are eager for when the next sequel will come out.

Paranormal activity is by far one of the most terrifying but also one of the most successful horror movies. It always has the same structure showing the daily life of an average family. Then things start acting up and the family eventually gets possessed by the demons. These movies and stories are sickening and just scares the living crap out of people and yet, we all still love this kind of genre.
